2 Days Ngamba Islanda -chimpanzees Safari
Day One:
BeginJourney to Ngamba Island and Enjoy Feeding Chimps
Wake up in high spirit because you are going to make friends with our next cousins in the wild. Ngamba Island is in Kome archipelago on Lake Victoria and is home to 39 orphaned Chimpanzees.
You will drive from Kampala to be at the pier before 0900hr, you will go aboard a boat for 45 minutes or an hour. Arrive for a short briefing and introduction, shortly it will be time for feeding the chimps and enjoy the fascinating show your new found friends can put up. There is real drama during feeding time when you will observe the different characters in the Chimps with some whistling for food and others clapping. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the fresh breeze. Dinner and over night at Ngamba island sanctuary camp.
Day Two: Forest Walk
Wake up for the forest walk where you will interact will the juvenile group aged between 4-7 years old. . In the forest walk they may climb all over you, and normally many at the same time, and they mayl expect you to carry them, so be ready for the excitement. Board your boat back to the man land where you will meet your guide for your drive back to Kampala where the Safari ends.
