DAY 1 ARRIVALArrival at Entebbe international Airport where you will be received by the AFRO-TRIP SAFARI representative and transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe overnight Air Guest House Budget,Boma Guest Luxury (Any Equivalent).
Day 2: ENTEBBE - KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
In the morning we will depart the capital city and head west to Fort Portal, with lunch en route. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon which is famous for the many tea plantations. From this lovely town we will continue to Kibale National Park. In the evening we will join a night forest walk and go in search of the bush babies, and other nocturnal animals. Dinner and overnight at Chimp Nest Budget,Kibale Forest Lodge Luxury(Any Equivalent).
Day 3: KIBALE FOREST & BIGODI VILLAGE
On the third day, we shall start on the mission of chimpanzee tracking in kibale forests which is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. And enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others. After lunch we head to the Bigodi Swamp for yet another magnificent nature walk which is normally done in the of company of some of the local contemporaries of the community for the best appreciation of the rich diversity of birds and primates. Day 4: KIBALE FOREST - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we calmly transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park while we pass the crater lakes area, a beautiful landscape with small lakes and rolling hills. Have lunch and relax before going on a game drive in search of the first wildlife, including warthogs, buffaloes, waterbucks and elephants. Day 5: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
The day begins early when we start with a morning game drive and head to the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the abundant birdlife that is sighted, and the elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. Note: instead of the morning game drive you can opt for a visit to Kyambura Wildlife Reserve for a guided primate walk. Kyambura is a beautiful gorge completely covered with tropical rainforest. While following the river at the bottom, you will go in search of chimpanzees and other primates that live in this area.
Day 6: QUEEN ELIZABETH - BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we head towards the south, passing the southern sector of the national park (if road conditions allow). This part is called Ishasha and is famous for the tree climbing lions. After a short game drive in this area we continue to Bwindi. While driving through green growth countryside, you will pass traditional homesteads and enjoy panoramic views. Day 7: GORILLA TRACKING
The highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. Day 8: BWINDI NATIONAL PARK - ENTEBBE
After breakfast we depart the impenetrable forest of Bwindi and head back towards the capital city. Look out for zebras and impalas as the road leads us through the protected areas of Lake Mburo National Park and take some photos at the Uganda equator. Day 9: DEPARTURE
